OMG, how horrible! The loss of property is bad enough but it's the feeling of violation...some awful person in your home...!! Been there, had a burglary years ago when I was working; gold coins, jewelry and money..Takes forever to get over the feeling of insecurity in your own home....... And they'll probably never get caught.....(((hugs))) |

Thanks all. Yes, the feelings are moving from anger through to disgust and feeling quite sick at the thought of someone in my home. Dominik was trembling with fear last night OH has put industrial strength bolts on the back door (it was a bolt that gave to allow the door to be ripped open), and I'm going to invest in a retractable security gate for the inside of the back door. Windows are usually almost 100% secure by wooden shutters. What can you do though? If they want to get in they will! Thank heaven the cats are OK, and none of my family pics (both on paper and PC) have been taken. I'm going to bed soon. It's been a stressful day. |
