These dolls have been going for years and are sold on e-bay by different people. It is an art form of a type and having seen and held them, Mark's sister has two, I can honestly say they are beautiful and not at all creepy or unnerving. What is creepy is the people that get them instead of a real baby or to replace a lost child. They are an ornament just like any model doll.

They openly said they didn't want real babies as they'd get dirty & she said she wouldn't possibly buy the posh Harrods clothes / booties to put on a real child as they would get all dirty...that's just weird!

Just thank God that couple didn't have children; their lives would have been unbearable....

I think there are far worse things in life people do at least they are not harming any-one.

Me personally I don't like them but I was never a fan of dolls even as a kid prefered animals

Thats exactly what i think... Having one of those dolls just to replace a lost child... thats disturbing. Id like to have one though, I loved playing with my dolls as a kid, which have been up in the loft for years.

I do like the dolls and ordered one once from a magazine, but was very disappointed when it arrived and sent it back. I also have an 'adult' dolls house, it is beautiful. However, I would have one only as a collector item, I think the disturbing part is that people buy clothes for them, take time to 'bond' with them. change them, bathe them and the most bizarre take them out in a pram. I agree, each to their own and they aren't doing anyone any harm, I just feel it is unnatural and weird personally.
