Re: Believer or non believer Ghosts

Oh, I believe you, Smudgley! I don't normally believe in that sort of thing, but that seems really too close to be co-incidence! It does make you wonder....

It's weird though isn't it Eileen. The thing is I said to myself at the start of the programme I wanted it to be him & although I don't believe in any of it, I kind of think that was too close to be coinsidence. Lots of people have big eye brows, but not like my Grandad - they were well bushy & I think for her to mention that was weird in itself. I want to believe it, but not sure if I do.

Re: Believer or non believer Ghosts

Kelly, how I envy you that. Ultimately you will either believe or not - it COULD be a whole load of coincidences if you want it to be, but it can also be the most incredibly reassuring thing you've heard. And if it's you reading into it more than there is, does it matter? It's not a con it's just something to make you feel warm and make you feel better.

Personally, I hope it's more than that. One day I would love someone to tell me my Dad's close by and looking out for me. It's just gone 10 years since he died and I miss him very much - he was an important and formative person in my life and the reason I've stuck to what I want to be and not what others want me to be.

Re: Believer or non believer Ghosts

It is weird. I wonder if your thinking of your Grandad somehow sent out, well, call them vibrations or something, that the psychic was able to pick up on....

The only odd experience I had was when I saw the ghost of Su-ling, my Siamese, walk thru the hall. It was early in the evening; I hadn't been drinking. The only cat in the house was on my lap. I've rationalized it over the years that it was a plume of cigarette smoke, as I didn't have my distance glasses on since I was reading and anything over 3 feet or so is blurry ,,,who knows, maybe it was him...
And my breeder friend swore that every so often she would feel one of her late cats hop onto the bed at night....

Re: Believer or non believer Ghosts

I did feel warm Yola & sad & happy & weird & freaked out & that I believed & that I didn't... all that in a matter of seconds!

I agree with you, it doesn't matter who says what or who believes what, it was noone squeezing info out of me, it was on a live radio show & it made me think Grandad was looking out for me. It was a nice feeling. I miss him so much.

Re: Believer or non believer Ghosts

OH's daughter has psychic tendencies. She used to sense her ex-boyfriends departed pet cat brushing past her legs at his house. She also had some rather unpleasant experiences of a strange man sitting on the end of her bed when she'd wake in the middle of the night She'd also seen her Grandad (OH's father who died the year she was born) sitting in the chair he always used to sit in when she stayed with her Gran in Hayling Island.

She is the most normal, sweet, grounded girl you'd ever hope to meet and I have absolutely no doubt that her experiences were genuine.

OH (and other members of his family) also witnessed some strange visions - and he heard voices - in their old house (now demolished) when he was a kid.

I'm certain there is something to be said for the supernatural. But I can't vouch for it myself.

Re: Believer or non believer Ghosts

Just want to send you all a big HUG for sharing these experiences with us all. Brave girls for telling your stories.

I have definitely seen "ghost" cats in our house, as has my OH. The people who lived here before us bred persians and when we were looking to buy, the previous owner told me that under the hedge by the front boundary was where he had buried cats who had died over the years. He asked whether we would want him to exhume them - poor dears, of course I said no leave them in peace please.

Just catch a movement out of the corner of an eye. A feeling of air drifting past a bit quicker than normal. Strange thing is always mostly happens in our hallway and now Merlin has taken to sitting there, looking at ..... nothing that we can see.

Re: Believer or non believer Ghosts

See I would like to think it was true especially as as you recall someone saw Oscar in the garden after he'd been PTS.....Oh I don't know.......however the fact the chap saw animals......but he spoke as if he was seeing cats and was trying to associate who they belonged to.

Smudgley that sounds very convincing to me.

Yola this is the 2nd person who has told me to I have "something" and do you know I am starting to wonder.....but my feet are so firmly planted in the here and now.
