How awful! Hope all here are OK and still have power! Sounds like the nasty storm we had two days ago: drenching rain and winds gusting to 72 mph! Hope it is over soon with minimal damage ......

MIL is fine. It took out her neighbours fence but no real damage otherwise! Waves on the south coast have been ferocious - looking at the pics on the BBC website I'm pleased I live inland

Wet and windy in Essex today, saw a couple of nasty accidents on the M11 around lunchtime. Set to be windy here tonight as well, just glad to be home

It was raining hard not long ago but it's stopped at the moment .......no sign of the forecast 80mph gales yet, thank goodness. I expect we'll get those during the night!

Having had a disturbed night last night, I am whacked and I'm off to my bed with a nice cup of tea. All quiet here at the moment. More rain and wind forecast for this area tomorrow, but nowhere near as bad as early this morning.
