What a pity the police aren't allowed to arrest them for unlawful trespass! It must be really scary for homeowners like Yola to have a bunch of druggies take over the adjoining house......I'd be a nervous wreck, living alone... |

I was seriously worried. I think only now, after I know they're gone do I realise how stressed out I was. And I'm not someone who is easily fazed. Yes, they can't be seen to have broken in - i.e., forced entry. They opened a back door through an unsecured cat flap (god knows - the owners never had cats so why there was a flap I'll never know). The house is now secure, so if they get back in, it can be proved they have broken in and they can be forcibly removed. It's down to technicalities and the police really can't do much except 'be aware of it' . However - joe public, if brave enough, can take a shovel (or threaten to) to the scum. I'm off to bed now as I can hardly keep my eyes open |
