Re: Sunday thread

Afternoon everyone - as a contrast to the rest of the country it seems we have sun and blue sky here. Warm enough in fact for MIL to sit out in the sun and warmer out than in at the moment.

We're having a roast chook for our Sunday too today - after 24 years of marriage, The A Team (OH & I) have finally cracked a roast!!!! Slow learners, I'm afraid.

Still looking for a recipe for pigeon breasts please my friends!

Have a good day all!

I adore roast dinners.

Just booked a 2 day short break for Mom and Dad to see the tall ships in Liverpool

Re: Sunday thread

Kazz, I'll definitely post some pics of the flea once it's finished! It's national flea week in May so we need it finished by then.

Re: Sunday thread

Kazz the book is called Gold Diggers by Tasmina Perry - bit of a girly book. I also bought Book of the Dead by Patricia Cornwell and I will read that one after.

Where will they be staying Kazz, I'm originally from Liverpool.

Angie have you tried www.cookitsimply.com for your pidgeon recipes

I love Sunday Roasts and feel I do a good one. When cooking Roast potatoes par boil them for five minutes, empty into a colander and shake vigoursly, cook in roasting dish cover with olive oil. This way they go crispy. (Jamie Oliver trick that never fails).

Re: Sunday thread

Thanks for the link BC - there look to be some very tasty recipes on that site! As for roasties, I do mine fairly similarly, but use Flora oil instead of olive oil and use goose fat on special occasions! I love them when they go crispy!!!
