Re: Headless Chippy

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about your cat bringing home a slightly mangled chipmunk...do you have those in the UK? But that's the oddest position I've ever seen a cat sleep in! But if it suits her and she's comfy....

Chippy is so small and delicate - she couldn't mangle a mouse. I swear she's never hurt a fly in her life. The others are quite bad - all the normal stuff - small birds, voles, mice etc but between the boys (Paddy, Bramble and Murphy) we've had - Moles, Crows, Rabits, Sea Gulls, Squirrels, Stoats, Pine Martins, Hedgehogs and Bats.

Not a proud dad at times.

Re: Headless Chippy

They're just doing what comes naturally! Nature designed them to prey on small birds/rodents. Leia is a house cat but we get mice in the house sometimes and she is death on them! Even got a large rat that was careless enough to come in once!

Re: Headless Chippy

This is only a 'semi' tuck (it can go further) but this should at least highlight her method.

Re: Headless Chippy

That certainly doesn't look comfortable to me, but hey! She must like it to sleep that way regularly, bless her!
