i'm sure! i'll share Flossie with you, though, DM, if you like. she'd have to get used to you first, cos she hates strangers. i think Flossie would agree with your Leia about being happy on her own. i had another cat given to me, and she put a hole in his head. they soon became friends, though. i'll pm you the details. |

I wonder what it is with brindled torties? Patches was very shy of strangers..and she considered even people she knew to be strangers; Rescuecatsrule's Beauty is also shy. I can't remember off hand if Luke's Clementine is shy...... |

could well be. i remember when i first took in flossie's mum and friends. she was quite shy. she'd hide if i went anywhere near her. in the end, i left her, and she came to me. but that was only cos she wanted me to see to her kittens (she hadn't chewed off their cords, so the tiny one was under six other kittens) |

i had to untangle them, first. the one under the rest had died, and if she'd have survived, she'd have been a lovely grey and white cat by now. when flossie had her kittens, i stayed up all night with her, just to make sure the same thing didn't happen. it didn't, cos as each one was born, and the placenta was out, i picked the tiny kitten up, and cut the cords myself. then i gave them back to their mum and she did the rest! ![]() |
