Well - what a day here. The wet road had frozen solid last night. OH had to take us down the very steep hill in the landrover, half on half off the verge. We are too remote for gritters. Tonight he picked us up from work and we couldn't get back up the hill as it was so bad. The three of us had to walk the mile up in the pitch black, slipping and sliding and laughing at each other. Outside is -3 just now so I think I'll be working from home tomorrow. Poor Cali fell over about three times before she got her balance this morning. |

Wow CM, that sounds like a bit of an adventure, something I quite miss down here in the 'soft south'!!! Last time I remember frozen over roads was in 1985 visting a then-boyfriend in Dudley . . . my car skidded across the road bouncing off kerbs from side to side. Thankfully in each case it managed to get a gap in parked cars rather than the cars themselves! |

Right, I'm saying nighty-nite as an early start tomorrow because my floor man is here 1st thing (we still have to move the piano). OH managed to rig the PC up in the hallway so I'll not be starved of online access. The dining room is empty and the cats are about to be shut out . . . food n trays are by the PC here. They're already arguing about things. These critters dont like change!! Off to wash my hair . . . see you all tomorrow!! |
