Re: Sunday Thread

Hi all! Sunny but still cold, 3C, wind chill 0! To the market for one of their lovely crab cakes, and fresh spinach for dinner, among other things. And the buses weren't running in packs, got home fast where it's warm! Leia hasn't asked for the porch today..
Matron, hope you have a lovely time with the girls today. Angie, had to laugh at your mum's expression...mine (who was a meticulous housekeeper) used to say that you should always have the house in a condition so that you wouldn't be embarrassed if the President's wife dropped by for tea! Ha! I'd just brush some cat hair off a chair, move a stack of books and newspapers and ask her to have a seat! . Happy news about Merlin eating so well. . Mags...still would love to see the cakes! PL, sorry the rib is still bothering you! Elaine, how's the head this morning? Kazz, impossible to visualize you "doing nothing"...

Hope it's a lovely day for all, stay warm...

Re: Sunday Thread

Hi everyone - hope your day has been good so far. Been round fields, trip to garden centre for late lunch and some pressies. Now going to make lasagne for tea tonight.

Elaine - can't believe you started a daily thread at 2am!!!Matron, hope you and the girls enjoy your day.
Your crab cakes, and fresh spinach for dinner sounds lovely DM.
Mags Last time I iced some cakes I forgot to cover them and Alfie had a good taste from all of them!!
Angie, my mother is so house proud I have decided as long as it's clean, I'd rather it was homely and comfortable. I have memories of a childhood spent 'clearing and cleaning and sorting'. Glad to hear Merlin has found something that suits his taste.
Kazz - bet you ended up doing something - my nothing days never end up like that!
PL - I do feel for you - ribs are such a sore injury.

Re: Sunday Thread

Worked this morning, at the rescue centre for some of the afternoon, then at the rescue centre's Christmas do.

There's ever such a gorgeous long haired boy there now (at the centre!) You'll approach him (he's a grey) and he's all "LOVE MEEE!!!"

Wish I could bring him home!
