She is an amazing mix Kazz. Forgetting her "problem" for the moment - she is a mixture of sweet gentleness, I am beginning to feel that I can trust her not to react badly to cuddles, tickles, paw-holding. She is like my Smudge in that I don't think she has a mean corner in her being. But as it's early days, she is still fearful of noises - such as a helicopter flying overhead (we get quite a few of those) or the next-door neighbours talking outside, doors banging etc. She is getting better with footsteps inside. She doesn't like visitors yet, such as MIL's carers or a delivery person/postman. But I'm sure that time will calm her. After all, she's only been here 3 days. She didn't react badly to the storm last night. Let's see how she gets on with the vet tomorrow - I hope that doesn't unsettle her more. It's a vet I don't know. |
