Re: Poppy - my parents new puppy

I'm pleased they have taken the plunge.
A doggy house is horribly empty without a dog

Hi Dawn, the mum is a very pale yellow and the father has a darker coat but still yellow, why?

Sorry Ive only just remembered this Emma. It was just the pup lacks pigment round his eyes, they should be black, this often happens when yellows are mated to chocolates, or if the breeding is yellow and chocolate in the first couple generations.

Thats interesting Dawn, I love the colour breeding variations the genetics of colour understand it in Staffs never really tried to understand it in other breeds of dogs.

Re: Poppy - my parents new puppy

Well Poppy has been in her home now for a couple of days and already has my dad wrapped around her little finger, took a picture of her yesterday which I think sums up her personality
