Re: Lent

Ate too much liver and onions to want pancakes tonight! But I do love them with just lemon and sugar, like Kazz.

Fizzy drinks are a very good thing to give up - according to the physios, drinking too many fizzy drinks leaches calcium from the bones - scary. But I do like tonic with my gin!

Re: Lent

Was interesting listening to some of the folks at work today. As expected a lot of them are giving up cigarettes, booze, chocolate sweets etc.

One girl is giving up eating anything beige!!!! When asked about this she said most beige coloured food is fat based and it will be a healthy diet for her to follow. I have never heard of this latest 'fad' has anyone?

Re: Lent

That reminds me - when I was a child, my mother knew a woman who wore nothing but beige coloured clothes. Of course, her nickname, said with derision was "beige". Is it a colour???? I bet you'd be hard pushed to find something in nature that was beige coloured!!!

Are biscuits "beige"????

Re: Lent

I've decided about Lent. This year I'm going to be radical and try to do something instead of not doing something. I'm going to make a conscious effort to smile more.
