Re: Sunday daily

Pete, the landscaper, has been busy, I guess; haven't seen him around. I don't mind whacking the bamboo, gives me an excuse to get out in the sunshine and get some needed exercise!

Re: Sunday daily

Talking bamboo - I planted three "Muriels" and when it snowed they were all lying flat on the ground, but they've popped up again and are even taller than I remember.

Re: Sunday daily

My rosemary bush has gotten all sort of splayed out from the center from being under all that snow. I hope it starts pulling together, or I'll have to tie it with some twine or something.

Re: Sunday daily

I had a little evergreen round ball like plant that got broken by the snow. Had to have it out - evergreens never regrow that well. Now I have a good sunny place for a sweet pea display.

Re: Sunday daily

Oh I love sweet peas! They don't do well here, Summers are too hot and humid. I have to plant the perennial pea, which is nice, but doesn't have the fragrance ....

Re: Sunday daily

That's a shame ......... come of plant breeders in USA, you're missing out on a large market. I adore sweet peas - nothing else matches that lovely perfume.

Re: Sunday daily

I Know. The T & M catalogue always makes me drool at the varieties. They do very well in the cooler parts of the country, like Tink's area, and New England.
