Re: Thursday's Thread

The projects around the house continue and my back is paying for it.
K started foaming at the mouth and vomiting this morning..bit worried about that. He's at social security office now with lawyer putting his official claim in and having a meeting with them.
Got a cute vid of Kuan Yin in the sun yesterday, will upload soon

Foaming at the mouth??? I'd be worried too Tink!

I hope he can get some financial support to see you through the worst of times.

Re: Thursday's Thread

Oh dear, Tink, that's worrying! Is that a side effect of all the meds he has to take; have you asked the doctors? Hope he's better now and that all went well at the SSA. Have you kept away from that chain saw?

Re: Thursday's Thread

Thanks guys, he seems okay now. He said it felt like the carbonation could not stay down in his stomach and he just needed to vomit all the soda up. I think it's a medication thing.
SSA went...well, okay. Not promising as he still has money in retirement accounts and you are not allowed to have more than $2K in assets. They said we'd hear back in five months but more than likely we'll get denied and he'll have to appeal.
And yes! I stayed away from the chainsaw I actually was able to lift those logs by myself as is and get em out by the pond..which might be why my back is hurting

Re: Thursday's Thread

Tsk at lifting those logs, not good for the back! I dislike lawyers that advertise (ambulance chasers!), but we get lots of ads here in DC for those who specialize in contesting SS disability denials ... apparently it is quite common for the initial claim to be disallowed. Worth keeping in mind. Hope K and your back are better.

Re: Thursday's Thread

Thanks. Yeah actually he is using my attorney who did my claim who also happens to be his mother's dear friend (small world!). This guy is good and does a lot of work with this kind of thing. I got denied three times before I finally got my disability so I know what to expect...to K though this is all new. Oh, it's a process.....

At least you recognise that Kazz!!!

Hope things get easier for you and K, Tink. It's hardest when you have to fight and don't feel up to it.
