Re: Tuesday daily

Getting bored with politics now although the noisy crowds interrupting broadcasts from outside Parliament are quite entertaining Just wish they'd hurry up and sort a coalition out, the financial markets aren't happy at all this dithering.

At one point this morning the doorbell rang 5 times within 40 minutes. Delivery of choccies, sofa delivery, courier with parcel for next door as they were out, next door to collect said parcel, and one confused stranger who thought we were somebody else! Very busy and exciting for silly, barky doggie.

Very chilly, "ne'er cast a clout till May be out"

Sorry you're not well Yola! hope you improve a lot soon.

Re: Tuesday daily

Hi, all. Dismal today, lowering clouds, raw East wind, 11 C (51 F) with a 100% chance of rain this afternoon; we do need it, but depressing nonetheless. Made it up to the other market for Leia's food and other stuff; super bus connections today so back home before 10 am ... more computer time!

Yola, I well remember Sebi coming, thought of that yesterday reading PL's good news. Sorry you're feeling so foul. Kazz, glad you are feeling well enough to walk around the block; the veg are doing quite well, thanks for asking: blossom on one tomato and two potatoes are up!! Angie, many years ago I got one of those plastic greenhouses and it wasn't successful at all, very flimsy, difficult to assemble and just unsatisfactory all around; junked it. Shelley, hope someone will give in and start talking again. MrsH, glad you're having a nice b'day.

Stay warm, when will Summer come?

Re: Tuesday daily

Hi, all.
K's doctor wants him to see a specialist at Virginia Mason in Seattle. He still has not much use of his legs and there is a specialist there that knows about his immune disease. Doctors are stumped b/c his conditions contradict each other and treatment for each is a big no no regarding the other so no one wants to touch him. This is last month of insurance with the FMLA so trying to rush him in down at Seattle and he is wondering if he should cash out his retirement fund to get treatment. It's all too much to think about. So I live in constant state of denial and focus on the small things.
Spring is definitely here, the animals are bouncing around like nuts
Hope everyone has a great day!

Re: Tuesday daily

Sorry things are still tough Tink. Please don't think I'm lecturing or telling you what to do, but speaking solely from personal experience, whilst denial is fine for a while (pardon the poetry ), it is actually better to face up to reality and have a plan of action + contingency.

That way you're ready for whatever is thrown at you and can deal with it from a position of control rather than reactive panic. It's not easy but having been through a couple of very hairy circumstances I'd recommend not burying your head in the sand.

Re: Tuesday daily

Yeah I know I just feel like it is too overwhelming and I have to remove myself from it so as not to get emotional..because the last while has been so emotional I guess I'm on auto pilot.

Re: Tuesday daily

Thats because your emotions and brain have gone into overload your brain is letting you do what you need to get through. Almost as if you have gone into "auto pilot mode"

But I agree with Yola you need a plan girl.....
