I am so sorry to hear this Lyn, run free Mummy Rat. I know it wont help much just yet but realy you did everything possible for her, if there was a mass then i doubt very much that the outcome would have been any different whichever day she had the op on. |

Oh lynz, I am so very sorry. I am sure that you couldn't have done any more and if you had bought her home she could have been in pain and I know you wouldn't have wanted that. RIP sweet mummy rat. |

thankyou, i feel a lot better, its just the shock. i said goodbye to her and had a chat with the vet, which reassured me. when she was opened up her tum was full of blood aswell, she didnt stand much of a chance poor girl. they said her chances would have been the same if it were a cat or a dog. i'm glad she didnt feel any pain or was aware what was happening and my only regrets are that she was by herself and didnt get to say goodbye to the others. |

So sorry lynz It's the main reason I stopped keeping rats, they are so affectionate and intelligent and their life spans are so short, it broke my heart when my last girlies died. RIP sweet girl x |
