Re: gale force thurday

I've been thinking about our Scottish friends this afternoon - glad to hear that you're OK, Pamela and Squirrel. Thinking about Lynz, Elaine, Moli, Farthing, Liz and Calismum too - and any other Scottish members I can't recall just now. Also wondering how Velvet is fairing in N.I.

It's windy here too - something has blown over but I'm not going out to find out what it is, a bin probably. OH, Monty, Kizzy and Pip and I all indoors, and hatches battened down for the night.

Stay safe everyone - Shelley enjoy your evening out, take care.

Tulip Thursday

Well, I wish it were tulip time and the Winter was over! We had a taste of it yesterday, very chilly, all day cold rain and high winds; snow North and West. Today at a bit after 10:45 AM it's still chilly, sunny, much colder than yesterday at 2℃ (36℉); still no frost in the City. Got out for grass, Leia looked a bit surprised not to get any yesterday, she knows the routine, bless her. Just the usual lazy afternoon planned, have finished my cards and Christmas shopping,so just forums and crossword.

This was my Daily post ... figured it was simpler to just move it myself than wait till a Mod had time....

Re: gale force thurday

hi all, im home safe listening to wind escaping through a gap in my front door. it is so wild outside, a double decker bus blew over in the next town, the sign for the indians across the road from my work blew off and a couple of the wind mill thingys set on fire!!
OH just showed me a vid on youtube of a trampoline blowing down a street!

our schools were shut, and most of the local shops closed at 2-ish, including the banks. we had to stay open as the dr's surgeries werent shutting
blew home at closing time as not one of the 'lovely ladies' in my work bothered to offer me a lift home.

sitting in tonight with the heating turned up

Re: gale force thurday

Evening all, what a fantastic day its been for walking dogs, leeds on and pretend they are balloons.
It's bloody freezing, can here slates coming off roofs, street lights on Union st(main street in aberdeen city centre) fell down causing endless problems, I dont think any one was hurt though, fortunately.
This is crazy weather.
According to G, Ozz is having the coldest weather in 50 years, it's currently 28 degrees, shame.
Stay safe and warm every one.

Lynz, Elaine - thanks for posting and letting us know you haven't taken off yet. Love the idea of balloon dogs!
