I have to say that rotties are so very beautiful but I never feel very confident around them. I have never had a bad experience with one but I don't think I could do what you are doing Kazz... |

No I would not trust her with people either odd as I am literaly a stranger to her but she seems to "adore" me. But she is very very protective when we are out walking maybe its me because Iam used to my two being Staffs - licking every approaching person - where as Callie - is a different breed totally. But I wouldn't fancy anyones chances of coming close if I did not want them too. So she will be walked alone - so I can concentrate 1000% on her. Edited to say she is walked by me on a long lead and that stays on regardless. |

They are such a wonderful breed. I can't say a bad word about them. they look so beautiful & confident. They are so intelligent it's unreal. They will protect their family. I miss my boy so much. I would love another one. |

Edited to say she is walked by me on a long lead and that stays on regardless.[/quote] Good idea Kazz - not worth taking any chances. My dog showed signs of having a dodgy temperament with people at around 9/10 months old. Not something I'm proud of. I kept asking myself why? He had been so well socialised & well handled, but that was the way he was & I just accepted it in the end. But I Never, never took any chances with him. He just didn't have the opportunity to be in a situation where he could bite anyone. The only problem was for 9 years we could not go away & leave him but I wouldn't have swapped him for anything. The love & devotion he showed to me was worth all the money in the world............... OK enough of me waffling on about my rottweiler. I'll be in a minuite! |
