Eileen, you open say a word document, then open your quiz page, the word document will remain open and should be at the bottom of your screen when you hover the mouse over it

Shelley, you lost me at "open a word document" ...... is that the Word Processing program you're referring to? Don't have it. I'll stick with what I'm comfortable with, I think ...... and I have a Mac, don't know if that makes a difference.

yes Eileen, word is a programme for writing things. The Mac could well be different

I do a simple grid, horisontal columns labeled name 3,2,1,+. Totals, then names down vertically. A stroke mark by the name in the right column, makes it quick to tally.

I appreciate that you don't need word processing or software that does letters etc. but if you do, I would recommend OpenOffice, which is free and looks to be compatible.
