I got another letter from FD. They didn't increase their offer of £163.00 so I'm taking that now. As for sending me the other lady's details they have just said that it's human error and they will be speaking to the staff member involved. Not the response I was hoping for and I'm changing banks now anyway - I've opened an account with Alliance & Leicester. They're probably all as bad as each other, but it's the principle. |

Charlie if it was me I would take them to court if the offer isn't the full amount of your claim. I have done this with many a claim and they have all paid up, in full, including the 8% court interest. If course they will tell you they won't increase their offer if they think you will settle for less. If everybody settled for half of their claims they would be laughing. At the end of the day it is your money, not theirs. None of the banks have sucessfully settled in court, and we are seeing a claim for £37,000 going through at the moment. |

Doing quite well Mags, there has been some new developments in that CAG members are now going back further than 6 years, and I have statements going back prior to six years for three accounts. I was shocked when I looked at our Abbey account we had been charged £15 four times when we first set up our account and we hadn't even been overdrawn!!! I cannot work out what happened. They are marked excess overdraft fee, but in that nine months every single day we had loads of money (well enough ) in the account and our statements are not showing us as being overdrawn....very odd !! |
