Re: Healing Vibes needed for Eva...

Ok, good news and bad news.
The bad news, Eva is still in a critical condition and the gall bladder is still dangerously distended.
The good news is that her liver doesnt apear to be as badly damaged as was first thought. Her blood is clotting. Her liver levels have dropped dramatically but still excessively high. The bile is still extremly thick but they have aspirated soome more to releive the pressure. She is eating on her own and by hand and they have never had to use the gastric tube to feed her, it's only being used for all the medications. She apears to be feeling a little better within herself and one nurse tells me that she is a very sweet little cat , ofcourse we all knew that already .

So although her condition is still very very serious, the news was more possitive. Fingers crossed for more possitive news tomorrow.
Thankyou all again for everything. She is certainly fighting the good fight.

Re: Healing Vibes needed for Eva...

That sounds positive......will be a little more positive when the vet/vet nurse says the magic words "this cat is a diva let her be gone"

Seriously good news, you have to listen to whats been said and realise she is ill but her medication is working ....

Re: Healing Vibes needed for Eva...

And still is hellish Eileen. I get bad news and my eyes sweat buckets, I get good news and my eyes sweat buckets, I get neutral news and still my eyes sweat buckets. But hey, I'm not the one who is sick and feels like crap, so I tell myself I have no right to cry and blub.
The house feels really empty without her, I miss my big girl cuddles in bed at night and her pretty face bearing down on me but I know she is being very well cared for and couldnt be in better hands, lets face it if she were particularly stressed about being away from home on top of feeling crappy coz of her condition, she wouldnt be eating on her own, they'd have to be tube feeding her and they aren't.
Keep fighting Eva and get well again please xxxx

Re: Healing Vibes needed for Eva...

Been there; it's awful. Sultan was in the hospital for 3 days before his condition deteriorated so badly he had to be PTS. Those nights alone without him were very hard ... very hard indeed. Eva's in good hands and fighting ...and eating! And has lots n lots of people who care pulling for "our Eva's" recovery .....
