Re: Moonlit Monday

I am amazed that you two say those things about the weather. Here in UK when we have a bit of snow or ice it seems like everything falls apart, schools are closed and people are warned not to go out of their houses unless they have to - to keep non-essential traffic off the roads I suppose. My OH and I can remember in days past when the winter weather SEEMED to be an awful lot worse and we never got days off from school for a bit of snow ..... we say other people in other countries don't give up for a bit of bad weather ........... are we just remembering things through rose tinted spectacles?

Weather has been very bad in France and Spain and is now moving into Italy. Storm force winds and torrential rain.

Re: Moonlit Monday

Oh yes, I remember well when I was growing up...never heard of a snow day! Now the schools close with a few flakes and panic reigns...think we all have turned into a nation of wimps! And the snows were worse then..or is that just memory playing a trick?
