One more........ Christmas Wonderland Collar bells ring, are you listenin? On the tree, tinsel's glistenin. A tempting sight to the kitties tonight... Playin in the Christmas wonderland. Gone away are their masters, that invites sure disasters. They're leapin around (hear breakin sounds?)... Playin in the Christmas wonderland. In the tree they can climb for hours, then pretend they've done nothing wrong. "Who made this mess...?" "Not the kitties!" "It's that darn dog left alone too long." Later on they'll conspire, as they nap by the fire, of the havoc they'll wreak (tomorrow or next week)... Playin in the Christmas wonderland. The Christmas tree is so much fun, they can climb right to the top. Then they peek out and surprise us hopin that the fun will never stop. When they climb it's so thrillin, though not nearly as fulfillin; as when they frolic and play every single day... Playin in the Christmas wonderland. Playin in the Christmas wonderland. .......a poem.....  As Christmas time approaches I look back over the year, and thank God for my shelter kitty and the meaning of the season is clear. My life has so much more purpose and is so much happier too, since she gave me all of her love and made every day brand new. Her wonderment at the Christmas baubles brings us both such delight. She makes me laugh at her antics, she curls up close to me at night. She likes the tree and ornaments and the tinsel and garland too. She listens to the Christmas carols and 'helps' with the gift wrapping I do. She has brought such love and laughter and as the year comes to a close... I treasure my 'pound purrie'. I'm lucky to have her, Santa knows. |
