Re: Where do I stand?

Has the fence gone up now? A suggestion maybe better when they put there fence up to ask you "chaps from work" to come and put you a fence up as well because if they have a dog as powerful as a Rottie then a "larch lap standard" fence panel will not prevent his head coming through I know my two Staffs could put themselve through a larch lap fence panel if they so wished. Hence why I have wall one side of the garden and solid tongue and groove fence down the other.

Just a suggestion of course the dog may not bother your lot. but as you are already nervous may beowrht considering "2nd fenceline" for safety.

Re: Where do I stand?

The fence has been worked on. There is now only one foot gap missing which she has said will be filled in soon. I did say not to attach it to my house and they have ignored that request as it has been drilled and screwed to my house.

It is a normal sort of fence panel overlap sort of thing. Will have to see how it goes regarding the strength of it.

6 foot tall. Do you think it requires some trellis or something on the top of it - how high can a rotweiller jump???

I was thinking more of keeping the cats your side. BorderDawn did her own version of cat fencing.

Re: Where do I stand?

Impossible here I am afraid - I have old Victorian terrace house and even if WHOLE garden was cat proofed there would still be the back addition of my house which both cats can jump onto and then over the roof onto the pikey neighbours back addition roof and jump into their garden.

If you can follow me!!

Re: Where do I stand?

Does anyone know how high a rotweiller can jump? Will the trellis be a deterrant as it would look like a much higher fence, even though the trellis is not strong?

My cats walk along trellis so it wont stop them going there, but am sure they wont be going near that garden from now on!!
