I rather like a good thunderstorm and it certainly clears the air. They certainly don't bother me and never have, they don't bother my children either |

My OH and the kids love 'em! it was my gran that got me terrified of them , when I was little and one started she'd haul me under the table with her lol and the fear was passed on to me. I know it's irrational, but as soon as I hear that first crack of thunder I turn to jelly! |

So that a 'lightning ball' didn't come in the window, hit the mirror and get bounced around the house, setting fire to everything and everyone in its track  |

My mum used to shut all the (metal) windows, turn all the appliance off AND unplug them and turn all the lights off too . . . 'incase the power attracted the lightening 'Having said that, our TV did turn itself off yesterday with there was a particularly nasty flash of lightening . . . I told Dominik that it was probably scared and had gone to hide under the duvet (along with Alex . . .  ) |
