I rather like a good thunderstorm and it certainly clears the air. They certainly don't bother me and never have, they don't bother my children either

My OH and the kids love 'em! it was my gran that got me terrified of them , when I was little and one started she'd haul me under the table with her lol and the fear was passed on to me. I know it's irrational, but as soon as I hear that first crack of thunder I turn to jelly!

My mum used to shut all the (metal) windows, turn all the appliance off AND unplug them and turn all the lights off too . . . 'incase the power attracted the lightening '

Having said that, our TV did turn itself off yesterday with there was a particularly nasty flash of lightening . . . I told Dominik that it was probably scared and had gone to hide under the duvet (along with Alex . . . )
