Hi Everyone there's no easy way to put this but Summer was put to sleep at 1pm today  The vets did an x ray this morning and ran blood tests for general things. They said she was borderline anemic but tested negative for leukemia and aids. The lump was inconclusive on the x ray so they said she needed opening up. When they did they found three masses the size of golf balls in her abdomen and said that things were stuck together inside also. They said her chances of surviving possible removal were virtually nil as to where they were attached something about her nodes and to prolong her life would be unkind so i made the decision to have her put to sleep. She was still under the anesthetic so wouldnt have known a thing. They did think the chances were very high she had FIP. My head is in bits and i am distraught. I cannot imagine what might go wrong next as it seems to be one thing after another of late. Thanks for all your healing vibes and good wishes sadly poor Summer just wasnt strong enough to stay with us. Rest In Peace Darling girl i will miss you so very much Sarah x |

Poor Sarah - you know we all understand how you feel. It's Ok to be sad, but be glad that Summer isn't frightened or uncomfortable or in pain any more. You carried out your final, loving, responsibility. The pain will ease and you will be left with happy memories. Take care |
