angie, i am reading The Lost Child by Julie Myerson. I have never read any of hers before but as i like true stories and it sounded intriguing i got it.
It's a realy good book, the author starts writing about a young girl who lived in the seventeenth century and who dies at the age of 21. Meanwhile she is struggling with her son and ends up having to put him out of the house. The two stories entwine.
I have been in a similar situation and so its quite poignant.

Sounds harrowing Shelley - we did try having a book club here on Catsey a while ago. We did a couple of books and then it sort of petered out. There is a book recommendation thread though if you'd like to let others know about any book/s you'd recommend.

Sitting down in my room on my laptop on catsey obviously.
My legs gone dead because Felix is sleeping on them and I don't want to wake him up because he doesn't normally sleep on my lap because he's normally over by the radiator. So never mind.

I'll just have to wait until he wakes up for food. hopefully it'll be soon

Isn't it wonderful the pain we are willing to go to in order not to disturb our beloved kitties??? That reminds me of many many years ago, I'd brought my first kitten Merlin home and my OH came home from work to find me sitting on the hard kitchen floor with Merlin asleep on my lap. I had numb legs and bottom! Hope that Felix decides that he'd like a little snackette soon!

I know once there asleep they look so happy and peaceful you don't want to move them so you have to sit there for ages. No he woke up looked up at me then fell back to sleep so I ended up moving him off my lap he wasn't very happy about it though haha!

Most of the cats are asleep they will probaly wake up around midnight to play. Apart from that making a cup of tea i am in my pj's and dressing gown listening to nothing my youngest daughter has got her best friend over and there being realy quiet. She only known her for 20 months and you can not seperate them at all. Its bliss here no it isnt maisey had just decided to meow and doesnt she meow
