Re: Pandora's had an accident!

Here's a pic of the patent in her cone, she's not happy but it has to stay on while the drain is in, until Friday. The vet was pleased with her progress though and feels that everything is healing up well.

Here's one of her wound, all stitched up with her drain in, she has subcuticular sutures I think, she such a brave baby.

Poor Pandora! Hope it all heals up quickly bless her We've seen a couple of cats with similar wounds, with no obvious explanation of how they happened, one really extensive one over the chest but everything healed up very nicely.

I'm glad to hear that PL, it was so upsetting to see when it first happened. Good to hear from you, the voice of experience. How are you feeling these days ?

So glad everything looks so nice and clean. Don't you wish they could talk and tell you how it happened?

Re: Pandora's had an accident!

So pleased to hear that Pandora is continuing to do well. She does look a miserable girl in that cone, but hopefully it will come off soon. When my dog had a cruciate ligament repaired, she had to wear a cone but it was a soft padded one, rather like a small cushion with a hole in the middle. Our vet also used these soft cones for cats. Not sure if they would be any more comfortable though.Continue to get well ,beautiful Pandora.

Not sure if you live in the same area as PP, Liz .... I've been wondering whether there is a worrying link.
