I have just read this..... the positive predictive value of an in-practice test for FeLV antigen is quite low, to the extent that more than half of positive results are false positives. This is especially important if a positive result is found in a healthy cat. Therefore it is strongly recommended that a positive screening test should be confirmed by another test, such as immunofluorescence or virus isolation. Still loads to read yet though! |

LOL I got about half way through and then saved it to my favourites for a look later. Found loads of support sites for FeLV kitties along the way and also a check list for owners to use if they are concerned. |
