The wood/feral/common pigeons do come in all colors .browns, greys, bluish tints. Awful pests. Odd, but when I saw your pic I did think it might be a collared dove, but didn't Google as you said it was a pigeon. That lovely little bird is a pest? I love our mourning doves, their call is so different, and I like the way their wings make a whistling sound when they fly off...and you tend to think of doves as peaceful....you should see them squabbling at the feeder! |

We have a lot of Pine trees near us, and they nest in them every spring.....One of them has an extra note in its call, cannot remember which one it is though.. |
