I quite agree PoshPuss.....the dumping of little Pink was awful and that may well have been mindless thugs...... But the whole "yobs dyed and dumped" a cat didn't seem to make sense.........and maybe have made things a little difficult for the owners to come forward.....especially seeing as they're going to have to explain why they tried to make a tiny kitten look like candy floss... I don't think it's right to dye any animal...surely having a pet is about loving them for what they are....not some kind of fashion accessory. So although I mentioned it could have been a cranky arty owner dyeing their pet.....I wouldn't condone it at all...... I think like Elaine - it may be two separate incidents..... One thing's for sure....little Pink's publicity has made sure she has a secure and rosy (no pun intended  ) future ahead of her...... |

Well atleast she took the time to make sure the dye wasnt toxic , as for who "threw" her over a fence... I guess we'll never know. |

I know it's no laughing matter, but I am afraid I had to laugh at this bit in the report - "The man who found Oi! Kitty was initially dismissed as crazy and told to "sleep it off" when he told his wife that a pink cat had flown into their garden after returning from the pub." It just brings to life the story my mum and dad used to tell about one Christmas Eve and a goat with a straw hat on.... but that's another story!!! (that's quite apart from the badly worded sentence, sounds as if the cat had come back from the pub and flown into the garden ........ ) |

She looks to have been well done so someone knew what they were doing. I hope she does have an owner out there that cares and gets her back. Poor little girl. |

Seems according to the link that Mags put up, that Pink's owner did the dyeing. The RSPCA have returned the puss to this owner and no prosecution will be taken. The owner has her own hair dyed pink and thought she'd like to have a pink cat. Maybe she should have just bought a new matching handbag! |
