I cant comment too much on this with regards to cats as I've only ever had my four boys and dont know anyone else who has cats. My boys obviously all have different personalities and Raven was very much a fuss on his own terms type of cat, but when he wanted the cuddles he was a real love They all follow us around the house and tend to settle wherever we are and AJ and Hernie like snuggling on the sofa with us most of the time. Rhino is a real lovely cat too-loves head kisses, having his neck rubbed, picked up and cuddled to the point of drooling but doesnt tend to be a lap cat-only when i have the laptop on my lap and no one else is looking However i do agree with Tink in that i have been keeping ratties for 8 years and other animals too(mice/hamsters/rabbits) and as a rule the males of the species always tend to be the more cuddly laid back ones, whereas the females are a bit nuttier and more playful-especially true of ratties! So it seems it isnt just cats this applies to, us females are just fiestier in general |

Ive had a boy cat called Toby and now have a girl cat called Minnie. Toby was very affectionate to me only, would only sit on my lap.Not very adventurous but happy in his own garden.Rarely heard him meow. Minnie loves me and hubby, very loving, can like an adventure if feeling brave(going over the fence)and constantly talking to us. My husband reckons it woudnt matter what cat we had they would become soppy and loving as i turn them into this. |
