Actually it all started with a holiday in Wales about 20 years ago, when he forgot to take a razor so he had a scruffy 2 weeks. The weather was really good and as he'd got so tanned, he didn't think he'd look too good if he shaved his stubble off and disclosed a very pale face!

It was the first time he'd had a beard since his student days 20 years earlier and he decided to keep it. (He was a bit surprised that it was grey though!.... what was he expecting?)

That's a cute story, Mrs H! Why do beards come in grey earlier than head hair...I have no idea! One of my neighbors has a white beard but his hair is still brown...

My Hubbys hair is still blonde, but his beard was grey, so he shaved it off!

Don't know why the beard hair does that, all I know is there's a darn sight more hair on Mr H's chin than there is on his head now
