Bernie is going back into the vets tomorrow morning for more bloods and another urine sample, these will be sent off to the lab'. Put urine sample in today but nothing much showed up, protein was a little high but not dramatic. My vet thinks there is also something going on with Bernie that should be investigated. He feels that a more definative test should help, hence the lab'. The thoughts are that Bernie may have either of the following, pancreatitis, IBD or a form of leukemia. Trying really really hard not to focus on the last one. There are many proteins in the blood, this test should help us narrow it down, if all the proteins have high spikes, then we are looking at an inflamatory condition, pancreatitis, IBD type thing, if only one of these proteins has a high spike then we are looking at Leukemia. |
