I have just got off the phone from the vets and buster was fine yesterday and came round very well. But he has got chronic Broncial disease and the vet is unsure what caused it. He has also got a lot of mucus in his lungs which has caused a secondary infection. I was going to get them today but the weather is so bad I am going to get them on sunday instead as it should be better by then. I am not quite sure what can be done to help buster yet as they have done some test and won't get the results for a a week or so as the vet is away next week so it will be the week after until I get the results. He will be coming home with some different antibiotics which should help get rid of the infection. I only hope he will be OK as he is my little man and I don't want him to be ill. Anyway I have to go as I can't see the keyboard for crying. I will be back on later to let you know about tilly Sally |

Oh Sally, chin up {{{hugs}}} The vets sound really competant. I'm sure they will do everything possible and necessary to help Buster. I'm sure when they get the results of the tests, they will be better aware what course of treatment to take. I hope that Tilly has better news x |

Sally I'm so sorry it isn't better news ((((((((()))))) Hugs. I know exactly how you are feeling if that helps any. Probably not. I think it's the waiting for the results that is the worst bit. Once you get them you know what your dealing with. |

So sorry to hear that Buster has a bronchial disease, Sally. Now the vets know what it is, hopefully they will be able to treat it. I hope you have better news about Tilly today..... It is such a worry for you but the vets will do whatever is necessary to help them.. Take care (((((hugs))))) x |

Update on the cats Tilly has comethrough her investigation very well and there is nothing else obviously wrong with her. It was as expected the virus has caused the tiny bones in her nose to be slightly deformed meaning thatthey don't remove the mucous as well as they should. The vet has taken a biopsy and a few swabs to make sure nothing else is going on and to see if he can find the virus causing the problem. But I will have to wait a week for those results like with busters. I think he will be ok but might need medication for the rest of his life I am just waiting to hear what the underlying problem that has caused his cough is until we know that the vet doesn't know what his outlook is. BUt as he is very bright and doesn't seem atl all bother by his coughing I think he will be OK. Sally |
