Fran, I know hh means Hands High, but don't know how that translates into feet...??

The conversion Eileen -

4inches = 1 hand

Horse height is measured to the wither (shoulder) So Bootsy is 16hh to the highest point of his withers

Yes, he is to his shoulder, obviously his neck and head stand higher than this..
