Re: Arowroot hasn't worked!!

Yes there has been Mags. She did a very good poo this morning, not what you'd call normal but much better than of late and then when I came back in from the school run there, she had done another one but this one was wetter again! So mixed results so far, will see how we go over the next few days now.

Re: Arowroot hasn't worked!!

I was wondering something. Last night I only had basmati rice so I used that, yet for this mornings meal I used plaingwhite rice. Do you think it would be better sticking to the basmati?

Got me there!
Pudding rice is more bulky; I know basmati has a lower GI index than plain white but which is better for sensitive cats I haven't a clue!
Did you find the instructions on the bark powder useful - I though it was quite confidence inspiring .... just have to get Teddie to read it and see how she should behave!

I did like what it said on the powder DM! and I like the fact it can be given indefinitely. Teddie has been spoken to many times of late about her behaviour, but takes absolutely no notice, lol!

Re: Arowroot hasn't worked!!

My Siamese was the only cat who liked or would eat rice; it was plain white rice. He had no digestive problems, however. I'd be inclined to use the plain rice for Teddie, but really can't say why...maybe alternate with the basmati and see which goes better ....? Good luck!

Re: Arowroot hasn't worked!!

I would be inclined to use plain white long grain rice, cook a small dish full that would last a couple of days .......... and only add a very small amount to her fish to start with...

Re: Arowroot hasn't worked!!

I think we can take rice off the menu as well! She has got very bad runs again, so bad that she's just done it on my dining room carpet poor baby!! She didn't even eat much of the rice I gave her today with both meals, just did what I said before, pushed it aside to get to the fish but obviously got enough of it to really upset her tummy. I think I'm just going to have to face up to the fact that she'll have to be fed fish for life, and if that means she doesn't grow very much, then so be it!!!

Oh dear Alex, I'm sorry to hear that ........ poor Teddie. There must be something other than the fish that doesn't upset her little tum But what ?
