That will be a pity IMO - as Velvet says, the cat folk here have generally been so very kind and supportive, especially if you have a poorly puss and kind words and useful advice is so appreciated.
as much as i asked if we were any further forward, i totally agree with angie and others that have posted and i have said previously that it would be a pity to lose our forum .

My reasons for asking were so i and others would know how long we have left of our little forum.

Re: Catsey plans!

catsey is a very special forum and in fact the only one i bother with, i have simply found the others too large.
I do hope we wont be swallowed up.
I know it gets quiet on here at times but its manageable to stay in contact with most people and you can read every new post, wearas on the big forums there are pages of them and i just gave up.

Re: Catsey plans!

I understand keeping up with the times, but on the other hand the forum(s) I feel would lose it's sense of 'community', I know I visit in fits and starts but it's the only forum that gives me a sense of online genuine community spirit because I feel you get the really friendly people on, immediately, and personally I don't have the time to trawl through pages and pages, time is precious for all. I think Catsey is unique in that respect.

Re: Catsey plans!

I am a relatively new member of Catsey but I like the smallness of it. Like others have said it is easy to keep track of the 'goings on'. I find it extremely useful for any problems with my cats and the people are very friendly and helpful. OH is a member of the 'other forum' and only reads and posts in the daily thread because it is just too big to trawl through every day. Small is beautiful I say, I would like to keep it the way it is.

Re: Catsey plans!

I would like to comment here. Since I am a late comer(its september now)
Glad to have a SAFE place to come to talk. FB and the others are not safe.
Plus someone on FB posted a video of a kitten being on fire..I can't go there ever again..makes me sick just thinking about it.
So here I am glad to see a cat site like this. I hope I can help with my postings and such.
Too bad I am too dumb to post pix the way it is. But I can talk..love that. Ask my cats

Jill i know what you mean about haunting things on the social media site.
If i see anything i try not to look and hover the curser to the right to delete post.
I also asked friends not to post things like that on my timeline, things did improve, i get the odd one.
Catsey is good for me because it is small

I agree Shelley. This forum being small is what keeps me here. i am hoping to know people better though.

Re: Catsey plans!

Do we know when Catsey is being switched off? I pop back periodically and the site has fewer and fewer posts.

The cats are not wearing their seasonal hats either

I know it's a sign of the times and the way people interact online is changing but Catsey has been part of my life for a long time.

Sorry, feeling a bit nostalgic here ...

Re: Catsey plans!

Yes Yola, I'm sad that nobody seems to be on Catsey any more. I really wish we could revive it as the forums have been a huge help to me when I was faced with my wee blind cat's unplanned pregnancy.I will never forget the kindness and non judgemental approach of the forum members at that time. Can't anything be done to bring this great site back to life?
