Re: My daughters gone to hospital

glad to ehar she is ok.

I did similar thing when i was five, heating had broken in our house, and we were filling the bath by boiling the kettle and carrying it upstairs (dont ask why my mum didnt take the kettle upstairs and boil it there) anyway when mum wasnt loking i took the kettle, walked down hall, and got up five staris before I dropped the lot on my foot. that DID blister, and when i went hospital they popped all the blisters, and bandaged it up.

I was more upset that I couldnt do gym or go out to play at school for weeks!!!

A hard lesson learnt I can say that much!

I hope she is doing ok now. Maccie d's can cure anything really

Re: My daughters gone to hospital

It's gone a bit yukky now. Well it seems ok & is not hurting, but it's gone quite a dark red colour. She is worried about going to school, so I'm going to see her teacher this morning before I go to work - just to explain what happened.

Re: My daughters gone to hospital

Thanks for all your kind words.
The burn happened last Friday & on Monday started to blister now it's gradually all starting to blister it looks awful & she is in a lot of pain with it now. We are having daily trips to either the nurse / doctor / hospital for advice / medication / bandaging. She has been to the hospital this evening to have it dressed there & they have given us some bandaging stuff so we can dress it daily ourselves. The redness / blisters makes you go "ouch" just by looking at it. She is also uncomfortable in bed when it's not dressed. So we are going to keep it dressed for school. No dressing on it for a few hours after school to let the air get to it & then rebandage for bed. Poor little poppet. She's on antibiotics to stop any infection & is on pain relief too.
