I agree - tetanus is not to be trifled you take care of yourself.
However, I do have to say . . . WHY do you have to wait hours in A&E for a basic jab that someone could administer within 5 minutes????? Words fail me . . .

Agree Yola,
felt bad enough being there anyway as it was neither an accident nor an emergency, but needed doing. I assumed the triage nurse could of done it and I would of been out of there in less than a minute - but no I had to sit and wait (do understand emergencies etc take priority) but I was still there after midnight and I had the kids with me as didnt want to leave them home alone.
I didnt need to see a doctor - a nurse or student could of done it surely and would of been less people on the waiting list for the poor doctors to get through.
Told them to give me the needle and I could of done it myself to save them the bother!!
Oh well, GPs in an hour. Getting nervous now, but know its gotta be done. Reading on the internet has scared me into it - and I keep thinking I am getting symptoms of poisoning!!!
Know its not but your mind plays tricks on you
Heard its done in your bum so best make sure I dont have my oldest tattiest knicikers on lol!!!
