Re: I am a daft mare!

Well I have just got back from A&E. Still not seen as I would of been there all night. Had the kids with me and they were getting all tired and restless and argumentative so thought it best to leave.

Will phone my GP tomorrow to seek further advice.

Dont know if it is coincidence but feel like I have pins and needles in my foot and up to my knee. Foot really aches too.

And no where to park when I got back home so on a double yellow line - no doubt a £30 ticket tomorrow morning

Really hope you don't get a parking ticket Donna Give your GP a ring this morning, your practice nurse should be able to give you the tetanus jab. Hope your foot feels better this morning x

Re: I am a daft mare!

Update is that I didnt get a parking ticket as jumped out of bed and moved car before 7am this morning!

Booked into my practice nurse at the GP for 4.30 for the tetanus. Scared now - hate needles!

Re: I am a daft mare!

Don't be scared - it's the fear of the needle that makes it hurt so much!!! Just relax and think how much good it's (potentially) doing for you to have the jab (yeah right . . .easy to say if your'e not scared, I know)

I agree - tetanus is not to be trifled you take care of yourself.

However, I do have to say . . . WHY do you have to wait hours in A&E for a basic jab that someone could administer within 5 minutes????? Words fail me . . .

Agree Yola,

felt bad enough being there anyway as it was neither an accident nor an emergency, but needed doing. I assumed the triage nurse could of done it and I would of been out of there in less than a minute - but no I had to sit and wait (do understand emergencies etc take priority) but I was still there after midnight and I had the kids with me as didnt want to leave them home alone.

I didnt need to see a doctor - a nurse or student could of done it surely and would of been less people on the waiting list for the poor doctors to get through.

Told them to give me the needle and I could of done it myself to save them the bother!!

Oh well, GPs in an hour. Getting nervous now, but know its gotta be done. Reading on the internet has scared me into it - and I keep thinking I am getting symptoms of poisoning!!! Know its not but your mind plays tricks on you

Heard its done in your bum so best make sure I dont have my oldest tattiest knicikers on lol!!!
