Re: Dogs do names remind you of breeds?

A German Pinscher, thought to be the original dog used by Louis Dobermann when he decided to 'make' his breed of dog. They come in black and tan, red, and occasionally blue (frowned upon!!) and do look like small dobes - not to be confused with the Min Pinscher which is the smallest ot the german pinscher breeds.

Just to confuse you further at one time the pinschers and schnuazers were all one breed, pups with smooth coats and pups with rough coats in the same litter, but were separated at the end of the 19thC. The schnauzers became the more popular. - Pinscher is the german word for terrier - and Kleine was a real mouser and ratter . Logoes
