DC isn't a State. we're a Federal District, but have as many stupid laws as any state legislature: ferrets are considered "exotic animals" , therefore prohibited!! I also cannot keep a lion or tiger cub, nor any poisonous snakes (not that I'd want to!) Doesn't make much sense about ferrets, does it? Ah well, government.... |

I have 3 ferrets, a gill called Tangle and 2 boys called Bert and Vlad. Bert is a big big boy, and he does "dead ferret" on a regular basis - which means he sometimes misses out on meals and has to make do with biscuits, It also means he misses out on playtime quite regularly. It is quite freakish - as they do appear to be dead or at least very ill, but he wakes up when he chooses to and we are quite used to it now |
