Well, I'll post here rather than starting another thread now. The story briefly; waters broke rather spectacularly at 4am on Monday. I was hoping they would as I didn't want the surprise of potentially powerful contractions with no prior warning. I was able to call my Mum for her to jump in a taxi and come on over. By 5.15 we were heading for the hospital. I was monitored as was my bump for about 1/2 hour and then prodded etc.
What transpired was that the baby, who had previously been in a perfect birthing position had, upon the release of all the water, turned into a transverse position (side-to-side)

There was no way this chap was going to come out on his own and at 10.34 on Monday morning he was delivered by emergency ceaseran.
It was all rather quick, and I have to admit to being a bit frightened. Hubby looked rather cute in his theatre outfit but it was all such a blur, that all I remember is lots of tugging to get junior out and he was eventually yanked out by his foot!!
The hospital stay was fine - food was actually excellent and I managed to wangle a private room which was good. But it's lovely to be home even with all the chaos of cats and Domi charging around the place!!
Here are a couple of pics of the little fella. Still a bit puffy around the eyes, and the spit of Dominik when he was born.
Here's the little man at 2 days old
Here's an excited Dominik with his 'baby bruvva'
And here's a
