Age twelve, bitten unprovoked by a German shepherd; had to start the painful rabies shots until the police located the dog and found that it was current on its inoculations. Grew up in a cats only household; none of my relatives or friends had dogs; just not used to them, and their behavior is so different from cats.....

It is a beautiful garden DM, I love big trees, mine are small, you do not get the same effect with thrm.

They can get pretty big with time...that Japanese maple was about two feet tall when I planted it..and the dogwood was a volunteer...came up from a seed presumably deposited by a bird...
