Dig in and keep fighting Donna. He needs to support his children effectively, and that doesn't mean taking them out for treats and buying them luxuries at the expense of basic day to day stuff. We used to buy OH's daughter really nice clothes (nothing flash, just nice dresses as she was a pretty little blonde thing) etc in addition to the maintenance payments but all these (we have now found out) were slung to the back of the wardrobe and the poor girl was dressed in rubbish from the market JUST to prove a point. It's awful when kids become pawns in the cruel games parents play to score points. Thankfully they grow up and see the truth for themselves eventually; as yours will too. |
