I have read that book really good.....by Elizabeth Kostova if memory serves......an excellent read. The Historian I mean.

Re: Bookworms unite

Brought a book today, Shadows of the Workhouse....by Jennifer Worth, read a previous book of hers called Call the Midwife.

She is a lady who was a midwife in the 1950's - a lifetime ago. working with the Nonnatus nuns in the East End of London, whose lives had all been touched somehow by the workhouse. For although these institutions were officaly abolished in the 30's in fact many did not disappear till the 60's....

I am looking forward to reading it, I like reading these sort of books too based on real life experiences...

I like the idea of a book club too

Another fab book I read recently is The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards..........a great book.

I've still got all these books too, so maybe we could just have a swap!?!?!?

Re: Bookworms unite

Gosh, I read so much! I love urban fantasy (or paranormal romance), fantasy, sci-fi, chick lit, crime, pretty much anything other than non-fiction

Two sites I use that others might find useful are :

www.shelfari.com and my shelf there is : Grete's Shelf

and also www.librarything.com and my library is : Grete's Library

Both are great for tracking what books you own and Shelfari is great for tracking what you have read, own, want to read etc.

Currently working my way through Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan Saga.
