Thanks all - Farthing and Elaine, I am due to call the vet with feedback on how the medication is working in a couple of weeks so will discuss the blood tests with him. I presume that although it's a potential concern you both feel that to leave it for a couple of weeks is acceptable, or should I be bringing the discussion forward? |

Am fairly sure that your vet is aware of the links of high b/p and CRF, hyperthyroidism and if he thought it was iminent he would have ran a blood test sooner, however there is no harm in bringing it to his/her attention on your next visit. It may well be that your vet wanted to get the blood pressure under control before causing Fifi any further distress. xxx |
