I'm much better off putting it down and going off to do something entirely different before trying again, a bit like my approach to cryptic crosswords! I spent a whole day frustrated with these dratted crochet leaves and now I wish I'd just got on with something else because when I picked it up again the next morning I suddenly saw exactly how to do it, like a little light going on
