Re: Evening ladies..

Hopefully, they will advise you of the best way to go about it then I could not have another new ceiling if my life depended on it

Re: Evening ladies..

We had a bedroom ceiling replaced about 5 years ago and I couldn't believe the mess from it.....it was a plaster and lathes one and when they took all the lathes out the room was black!

Re: Evening ladies..

I'm wondering now if they will suggest that PK.....I didn't know they could do that. As long as it is a sound ceiling I don't mind how they do it.....

Re: Evening ladies..

To be honest Mags it will depend on the state of your current ceiling and your coving is the biggest hurdle....If you haven't got enough of a lip on your coving they won't be able to overboard it Hubby would rather take a ceiling down than overboard but a lot of people opt to have it overboarded because it is obviously cheaper.

Re: Evening ladies..

Thanks PK....I've got an awful feeling that it is going to have to come down as there isn't much of a lip on the coving.....and also another problem is that the top of our windows is only about 6" from the ceiling
